Our auction house fondly remembers William H. Bunch. Owner of William Bunch Auctions and Appraisals, his passion for auctioneering spanned thirty years. Bill attended the University of Delaware after spending his early years growing up in the northern part of the state. After graduating, he found himself living in a charming farmhouse in Cecil County, MD where he attended local auctions in search of appropriate furnishings. Soon after, he began pursuing a future in the auction business.

Bill attended The Reisch College in Mason, Iowa, and became certified as an auctioneer. This was the beginning of a long and successful career, eventually becoming a member of the National Auctioneers Association (NAA), the International Society of Appraisers (ISA), and a graduate of The Certified Auctioneers Institute.

With his knowledge and infinite determination, Bill created William H. Bunch Auctions and Appraisals, a nationally recognized antique & fine art estate auction business based in idyllic Chadds Ford, Pennsylvania. Not only did Bill succeed in curating a professional staff, he forged relationships with respected specialists from all over the country, including but not limited to, Boston, New York, and Philadelphia. A distinguished member of the auctioneering world, Bill’s generous support for numerous local, regional, and national civic organizations were an attest to his commitment to the community at large.
